The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club

The other weekend, I had the privilege of staying at the Hamilton Princess Hotel, which has recently been renovated to the highest standard, inside and out. This hotel is right in the heart of Hamilton, only a 20 minute drive from the Airport, and a 2 minute walk into town. In addition to being perfectly situated, they also run a free shuttle bus to their exquisite beach club every 30 minutes.

Inside the hotel are two restaurants, one is called the Crown & Anchor, and the other one is called Marcus. After eating in both restaurants, I would say Marcus would be my favourite choice – it has a chilled gastro-chic vibe to it, which reminds me of places I use to visit in London. Every Friday night Crown & Anchor have a live band playing, which gives a real buzz to the atmosphere. There is also an outside bar and restaurant by the main swimming pool on the water front, called 1609 – this is now shut for the season, but I look forward to eating here once it reopens on May 6th.

The Hamilton Princess also has a beautiful gym, with daily classes, two outdoor swimming pools and a spa – there honestly isn’t much this hotel doesn’t offer!
